Andrew Thomas Kerns of Oregon City, Oregon passed away on October 18th, 2025.
He was born on March 14th, 1994, in Renton, Washington to Michael Kerns and Colleen Pierson. Andrew attended Liberty Ridge Elementary, Mountain View Middle School, and graduated from Bonney Lake High School in 2013. From there, Andrew enlisted in the U. S. Army, and attended Basic Training at Fort Benning near Columbus, Georgia. After successfully completing Basic Training, he was stationed at Fort Stewart in Hinesville, Georgia. Andrew also was in the Boy Scouts and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He was close to his family and many friends. He had a great sense of humor that will be missed. He loved going to the beach and spending time watching the ocean. He volunteered his time with the Oregon City Elks with the Christmas can food drive.
He is survived by his parents and his younger brother, Simon Kerns.
Andrew is loved and will be greatly missed.
A Cemetery Service with Full Military Honors will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland Oregon.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions in his memory be made to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV.org) or the Elks Veterans Services (elks.org).
