Betty Karlene Jones passed away on October 11, 2026, at the age of 80.
Betty was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and homemaker who cherished her family and the beautiful life they built together.
She shared a wonderful life with her beloved husband, Arthur Jones, who preceded her in death. Arthur was not only her husband but also her partner and best friend. Together, they raised a loving family and enjoyed a lifetime of adventures, including camping, fishing, motorcycle riding, and making countless memories along the way.
Betty had an amazing sense of humor and a special way of bringing laughter and joy to those around her. She was also an avid dog lover, with a soft spot in her heart for her four-legged companions. Her love for animals, quick wit, and ability to make others smile were just a few of the many things that made Betty so special.
She is survived by her two sons, Troy Oviatt (Chris) and Steve Oviatt (Mandah); stepdaughter, Susan Wonderly; four grandchildren, Jake Oviatt, Jennifer Jesse, Kristin Groener, and Brittany Kunkel; and seven great-grandchildren, Jackson and William Jesse, Kylo and Zias Groener, and Oliver, Hannah, and Noah Kunkel. She was preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Deborah Hall, who is survived by her husband, Chuck Hall.
Betty lived a full life filled with love, laughter, family, and adventure. She will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Betty’s memory to the Oregon Humane Society or Clackamas County Dog Services, honoring her lifelong love of dogs and the special place animals held in her heart.
A Funeral Service & Reception honoring Betty’s life will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 26, 2026, at Stehn Family Chapels in Milwaukie, Oregon; followed by a 1:00 p.m. Cemetery Service at Lincoln Memorial Park in Portland, Oregon.
