James was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Rosemary Tompkins.
He is survived by his husband, Peter Rosenblatt; his father and mother-in-law, Eddie and Bobbie Rosenblatt; twobrothers; two sisters-in-law; two nieces; two nephews; two brothers-in-law and their wives; one sister-in-law; four nieces-in-law; two nephews-in-law; numerous cousins; and his dog, Greta.
His family asks that donations be made to the Oregon Humane Society in James' honor.
