Jeannette Palo was born on October 16, 1930, in Portland, Oregon.
Jeannette married, Richard (Dick) Palo on February 28, 1949, and they were married for 66 years. Dick preceded her in death on October 24, 2015. Jeannette and Dick had two daughters, Janette Palo-Ganziano and Christine Johnson (who preceded her parents in death). Jeannette was a mother to two daughters, a grandmother to six, and a great-grandmother to two.
Much of Jeannette’s life was spent as a wife, homemaker, and mother, however she worked at Macys and at a phone company for a number of years. Her hobbies included Bible study, being a part of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, and reading. She was always up beat and encouraging.
Jeannette and Dick became members of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in 1965 and were active in many ways throughout the rest of their lives. Jeannette will be buried with Dick at Willamette National Cemetery.
A Memorial Service will be 10:30 a.m., Sunday, July 20, 2025, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 8705 E Burnside, Portland, Oregon; as part of the regular Sunday worship service. Friends and family members are invited to gather in the fellowship hall for refreshments and to share memories after the service.
