Mark Robert Engerman was born on January 7, 1944, and passed away on July 20, 2025, at the age of 81.
Mark was born in Portland, Oregon to Robert and Marguerite Engerman. He attended St. John the Baptist Catholic School and graduated from Milwaukie High School in 1962. He was an Army Veteran who received the Purple Heart for injuries he sustained while honorably serving in the Vietnam War.
Mark spent 40 years with the love of his life, Bev, who he met in 1984 and married in June of 1998. He became a father to Bev’s two daughters, Julie and Pam. His family was the most important thing in his life. Some of his last conversations were about how much his family meant to him and how his life after meeting Bev was “100% excellent”.
Mark enjoyed spending time with his family, walking with his wife and friends, fishing (especially fishing trips to Alaska), all types of dancing including square dancing, and traveling with Bev. He loved his home and enjoyed watching the birds and other wildlife that frequented their gardens.
Mark is survived by his wife, Bev; daughters, Julie Eggers and Pam Cameron and their spouses, Sam Yaws and Joe Cameron; grandchildren, Nick, Troy, Drew, Lauren, Grant, Michael, Jessica, Landen and Zoey; and 9 siblings, Blase Engerman, Lucy Moore, Nancy Barrell, Joseph Engerman, Janet Spurlock, Lynn Elliott, Lori Carlson, Karen Ensworth and Susan Ball. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Adele Herbel; and brother, James Engerman.
