Tracey Anne (Stearns) Taylor, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on June 25, 2026, in Portland, Oregon. She was born December 14, 1962, in Portland to Richard Spencer Stearns and Susan Clare Stearns Meislahn.
Tracey was known for her extraordinary kindness, generosity, intelligence, and infectious laughter. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcomed, valued, and loved. She was always ready to help a friend, support a cause, care for an animal, or simply be there when someone needed her.
An avid reader, exceptional student, and lifelong learner, Tracey graduated from Linfield College in 1985 with bachelor’s degrees in English and French. Her love of France, language, art, history, animals, and culture were lifelong passions.
Above all, Tracey treasured her family and friends. She created a lifetime of memories through family gatherings, holidays, travels, time at Lake Billy Chinook, and countless ordinary moments filled with laughter.
Her legacy is one of love, kindness, and generosity. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by the many people whose lives she made brighter.
Tracey was preceded in death by an infant son, Bo, and is survived by her husband of nearly 40 years, Shawn Frances Taylor; son, Christopher James Taylor (Kastine); sister, Kimberly Wriggle (Jason); and brother, Robert Stearns (Annie). She was a cherished aunt to many, and a beloved great-aunt to several. She also leaves behind many dear friends and family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. September 26, 2026, at Oak Grove Elementary School, 2150 SE Torbank Road, Milwaukie, Oregon 97222. All are welcome.
