Obituary
Jean Predeek Blacketer, age 85, passed away peacefully at Providence Milwaukie Hospital on October 26, 2022.
Jean was born at Silverton Hospital in Silverton, Oregon on June 12, 1937 to Bernard and Leona Predeek, the second of five children. She grew up on the Predeek family farm outside Mt. Angel, attended school in Mt. Angel, and graduated from Mt. Angel Academy in 1955.
Jean married Del Blacketer in 1958 and shortly after moved to Portland, though for most of her life she would reside in Milwaukie. She worked for Food Services of America until her retirement. Jean enjoyed visiting with family and friends, making crafts, caring for her beloved cats, traveling to western states with friends and visits with her father in Woodburn.
Jean was a kind and caring friend to all who knew her. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Jean is survived by three siblings, Dave Predeek, John Predeek (Dolores) and James Predeek (Gloria); along with many nieces and nephews.
