Mark John Watson, Sr.

Mark John Watson, Sr. passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at the age of 61. He will be remembered as a loving son, husband, father, and grandfather.

He was born on January 14, 1961, to John and Ethel Watson in Portland, OR. He was the middle child of three children, along with Jeff and Melissa. He was raised in the Pacific Northwest and was an alumnus of Pacific University and Aloha High School.

Mark was proud of all three of his children, Mark Jr., Nathan, and Vanessa. He profoundly loved his two granddaughters, Willow, and Waverly.

He was a dedicated member of his community, to which he contributed coaching soccer for 30+ years for all ages. Most notably, at Clackamas High School for 8+ years. He continued his dedications to the Oregon community through refereeing professional wrestling. During this time, he was known as the ‘Ref of the Northwest.’

Mark is survived by his wife, Alona Watson; children, Mark Watson, Jr., Nathan Watson, and Vanessa Watson; mother, Ethel Watson; siblings, Jeff Watson, and Melissa Ellis; grandchildren, Willow Watson, and Waverly Watson; and many more loved ones.
